It was founded about 1400 years ago. It started problems from the get go because the founders were thieves. It had an “enlightenment” period where people from all over and with different faiths got along. At that time Muslims respected Christains, Jews, and Zorastrians. Arabic people became leaders in many academic fields. And inpart, due to their tolerence of others, their cities thrived. Infighting within Islam also began almost as soon as Muhhamd (peace be upon him) died. I believe it was the Sunni and the Shiites. So I quess when you speak of the Egyptians all getting along for 1000′s of years, you mean when they were worshiping Ra, Amun, and Isis.

Christians are the most persecuted people in the world. The bible said that would happen, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to support one another..the best way we can. It really makes a difference, if more believers from the west….reach out to other believers in other parts of the world. Not all of us can donate money. This is a tough time for many people. All of us ‘do’ something; whether it be sending cards, praying, letting others know they are praying for them, letting people know they are not walking this road alone. Christians have God, but God wants us to let Him work through us to communicate love to others.
